Laws Concerning Carrying Concealed Firearms on Campus in Kentucky

With certain exceptions (see note below), public or private universities, colleges, and other post-secondary education facilities (including technical schools and community colleges) may prohibit the carrying of concealed weapons by licensees on their properties.  See Ky. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 237.115(1)

NOTE

In April 2012, the Kentucky Supreme Court handed down a decision in Mitchell v. University of Kentucky, et al. stating that the statute in question forbids a public organization, such as a university, from prohibiting the possession of a firearm in the glove compartment of a vehicle.
